Description/achievement of initiative
We expect to contribute independently and voluntarily, with the campaign to offset the greenhouse gases emissions from the UN Conference on Sustainable Development - Rio +20 - by using the same methodology recommended by the organization, ie the voluntary cancellation of Certified Emission Reductions originated in projects of Clean Development Mechanism installed in Brazil. The goal of this commitment is to encourage civil society to engage in the fight against global warming, enabling a significant and concrete action towards this challenge.
Implementation methodologies
The strategy of stimulating offsetting greenhouse gases emissions (GHG) from Rio +20 will be implemented through the campaign "I want to offset the Rio +20!" that will be published on the Neutralize Carbono' website and social networks that the company is integrated, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
This campaign will allow, through the opening of a e-commerce channel on the Neutralize Carbono' s website the offsetting of 100kg, 500kg or 1,000 kg of GHG emissions, in addition, every 10 tons offseted by customers, Neutralize Carbono will offset an extra 1 ton of greenhouse gases emissions.
The result of this campaign will be publicized and communicated directly to customers - by updating this voluntary commitment.
