Description/achievement of initiative

To incorporate CSR courses in curricula of existing programs such as Ukrainian Program in Business Administration, Executive MBA, International MBA, General MBA and design new programs which reflect issues of responsible leadership, responsible partnership, sustainability and social responsibility.

To continue research on Leadership, Management Development and Social Responsibility in Business Organizations organized together with partners from Poland and Slovakia.

To enhance students' knowledge of Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development through extracurricular activities and events: i.e. conferences, round tables, workshops.

Our sustainability project between 2012 and 2015:

1. A promise to take action now or in the future
By now the International Institute of Business has fulfilled a wide range of activity in the sphere of sustainable development and social responsibility.
• In 2007, the IIB joined the Principles for Responsible Management Education and committed itself to improve efforts to incorporate sustainability, business ethics and corporate social responsibility in curricula and research.
• In 2009 the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics was established as organizational unit within the IIB structure with the purpose to promote CSR and business ethics development in Ukrainian business community by a number of means, i.e. research, teaching, training, consulting and publications.

For Now
• Seminars and workshops dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility issues were organized at IIB on regular basis to share information about the most recent trends in CSR and encourage faculty members to incorporate social responsibility aspects in the courses;
• IIB faculty members and staff of the CSR and Business Ethics Center took part in Summer (2011) and Winter Institute (2012) organized by Ukrainian Association of Management Development and Business education (UADMBE) on social responsibility issues;
• publications devoted to social responsibility regularly appear in academic and peer review journals and in press ;
• a team from the CSR and Business Ethics Center participates in ??? (how many) scientific conferences relevant to CSR and sustainable development;
• a team of CSR and Business Ethics Center participates in the expert-opinion surveys on SCR;
• a team from the CSR and Business Ethics Center, in collaboration with the Polish Foundation for Management Research carries out “Leadership, Management Development and Social Responsibility in Business Organization” research project;
• the course on CSR is developed and will be incorporated in existing curriculum of MBA and other diploma programms;
• the IIB's instructors participated in training for trainees on social enterpreneurship, organized by British Council.
• IIB supports global initiatives connected with sustainable development and climate change such as Earth Hour, protection and sustainable use of natural resourses, green way of living ect.

In the future the IIB promises:
• To incorporate CSR courses in curricula of existing programs such as Ukrainian Program in Business Administration, Executive MBA, International MBA, General MBA and design new programs which reflect issues of responsible leadership, responsible partnership, sustainability and social responsibility.
• To continue research on Leadership, Management Development and Social Responsibility in Business Organizations organized together with partners from Poland and Slovakia. Extended research findings will be included in a larger project concerning social responsibility, social entrepreneurship and sustainable development issues with European partner universities and business schools.
• To enhance students' knowledge of Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development through extracurricular activities and events: i.e. conferences, round tables, workshops.

• EBA (European Business Association)
• ACC (American Chamber of Commerce)
• Association of MBAs

at the national level:

at the institutional level:
• Board of Trustees
• Academic Council

IIB reports regularly about CSR activity in front of its stakeholders (personnel, academic staff, students, alumni) via corporate communication.
