Description/achievement of initiative

We aim to use water as efficiently as possible and have set ourselves the demanding target of reducing our water use per hectolitre of lager produced by 25% between 2008 and 2015.

Implementation methodologies

Through Research, including that done by the 2030 Water Resources Group a consortium of business partners including SABMiller, McKinsey, and the International Finance Corporation points to a significant issue in the coming years with competing demands for scarce water resources resulting in a potential 40% gap emerging between supply and demand by 2030.
