The purpose of this Expert Group Meeting reviewed the progress to date of the Inter-agency Working Group (IAWG) on the mapping of technology initiatives, developing options for an online knowledge- and information-sharing platform, and enhancing coordination and coherence of UN system work on science, technology and innovation.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to highlight how the UN system stands ready to deliver as one in supporting implementation of a possible Addis decision on a global technology facilitation mechanism in support of the SDGs and the post-2015 development agenda.
