Fulfilling SDG11 and the NUA beyond the COVID-19 pandemic through the Right to the City
Global Platform for the Right to the City and allies ,p>
COVID-19 has hit cities particularly hard, exposing key challenges faced by them. Through a discussion with civil society organizations, academics and local governments we aim to identify paths provided by the Right to the City for implementing SDG11 and the NUA beyond COVID-19.
The event will focus on concrete initiatives, under a balanced regional perspective, that have emerged from both governments and civil society to address these issues under the context of the COVID-19 pandemic but building pathways for long-term transformation. The presentation will be divided in three thematic blocks:
a) Gender equality and diversity
b) Social protection and informal economy
c) Right to the City and fight for racial justice
The event will also be live-streamed through our communication channels and will count with Spanish translation
