This policy brief sets out the different methodologies available to assess the employment potential that green policies can offer and, in so doing, aims to help to focus policy decision-making in order to make it as efficient and productive as possible. By pioneering sustainable economic activities, both developed and developing countries stand to generate new jobs and strengthen their economies, whilst also addressing the threats and challenges of climate change. A crucial first step in developing a greener economy is to carry out preliminary assessments that outline the potential implications of different policy choices. This policy brief sets out the different methodologies available to assess the employment potential that green policies can offer and, in so doing, aims to help to focus policy decision?]making in order to make it as efficient and productive as possible.
