    2. Does the scientific community in your country/region examine the environmental effects related to WOCMDS? If so, what are the findings of such scientific researches?

    We have no information about scientific researches in this field, till now.

    Response to incidents

    3. Does your country/region have experience in responding to incidents related to WOCMDS?

    Unfortunately, no.

    We didn’t carry out such activities, till now.

    9. What would be, in your view, possible modalities for international cooperation to assess and increase awareness of WOCMDS?
    From our point of view, it’s necessary the cooperation between the countries bordering the Black Sea, addressing the following topics:

    - gathering information on possible chemical munitions discharges at sea in time;

    - conducting submarine research to locate these discharges;

    - evaluation of the physical conditions of the containers with chemical munitions;

    - evaluation of the potential risks of breaking the containers with chemical munitions;

    - elaboration of the strategy for securing the containers with chemical munitions until their destruction/decontamination in specialized facilities.
