Russian Tsunami warning service
The upgraded warning system at the Russian Pacific coast provides early warning of tsunami.

The Russian Federation has territories subjected to tsunami. It is, first of all, the coast of the Kamchatka peninsula and the Kuriles. The emerging of tsunami is also possible in the sea of Okhotsk, Japan and Boering seas. In order to ensure safety of the population and coastal territories of the Far East of Russia there exists a Tsunami warning service. The upgraded warning system that consists of three centers located in the Russian Pacific coast during Great Japan Earthquake in 2011 has provided early warning of tsunami after 10 minutes of it beginning. This enabled timely evacuation of people that prevented human and property losses.
