The 2016 and 2017 STI Forums highlighted the need for STI action plans and roadmaps for SDGs at national and global levels. The objective of the IATT workstream on STI Roadmaps outline inter-sessional work program to inform and enrich STI Forum discussions on STI Roadmaps for SDGs, focusing on preparing upcoming meetings and events on STI Roadmaps and tangible impact to be achieved over 2018-2019. The informal meeting aims at reviewing UN System’s existing support instruments and mechanisms to countries’ efforts on STI Roadmaps, and develop a plan to engage a small group of countries to champion country level STI Roadmaps for SDGs at 2018 STI Forum.
