Over 1750 initiatives now registered on Partnerships for SDGs platform

- Over 40 initiatives from a range of stakeholders were registered in the Partnerships for SDGs platform in the lead-up to and during the United Nations Summit for Sustainable Development, bringing the total number to 1751.
Initiatives were registered in support of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and included a knowledge sharing platform on sustainable policies for integrated water resources management and climate change adaptation, a sustainability literacy test aimed at assessing knowledge of students from higher education institutions all over the world, and a communication initiative aimed at spreading the word about the sustainable development goals. Registrations also included an initiative on solar empowered schools in Tanzania, an e-learning programme in Africa, an initiative to create sustainable means of nutrition for the mentally challenged, the elderly, street kids, and other vulnerable groups across West Africa, and a global partnership to end violence against children.

Partnerships for SDGs is an online platform for encouraging global engagement around multi-stakeholder partnerships and voluntary commitments in support of the implementation of the sustainable development goals and their targets. The platform is open for registrations in support of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
