Data availability for the following list of indicators is categorised as follows:

  • For some indicators, data is already available. If this is the case, the information is readily available in the short term (and given the symbol "S" in the table).
  • For some indicators, some basic data may be available but with a need for supplementary effort to improve their quality (consistency, comparability) and their geographic coverage (this data is given the symbol "M" in the following table).
  • For some indicators, basic data is not available, and a sustained effort would be needed to develop monitoring protocols and the establishment of basic monitoring network (this is given the symbol "L").
