#SDGAction33
Promoting sustainability through lthe UK's local decision making processes
Description/achievement of initiative

Links is raising awareness of Rio + 20 through nationally networking local experiences across the three generic social sectors. We are providing local decision makers with the information that the Government is not and reminding communities of the profound importance of Agenda 21. We will eventually publish a report examining the way the UK has responded to the challenges presented by Rio, international agreements on sustainability and the terminality of our lifestyle.

Implementation methodologies

Links has been lobbying Coventry and Warwickshire Local Strategic Partnerships, their partner organisations and catchment VCOs since September 2011. This is resulting in Rio + 20 being included on LSP board agendas. Reports of the work are being circulated to national VCOs and third sector news media.
