Description/achievement of initiative
The partnership which will create an interregional SIDS civil society policy and advocacy hub was further confirmed by the call from the Major Groups and other Stakeholder Forum which called for greater coordination and collaboration across SIDS.The partnership will seek to undertake three main objectives:The creation of specific recognition of the SIDS region within global policy spacesThe development of a knowledge hub for documenting best practices of CSO implementation in areas related to the Samoa PathwayThe creation of a CSO monitoring and evaluation framework to track implementation of agreed Samoa pathway action pointsDevelopment of a capacity building programme for civil society across the SIDS region
Implementation methodologies
The partnership will be achieved through joint sourcing of funding and the creation of institutional linkages linkages across the two organizations.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
The partnership will build capacity across the three SIDS regions
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
The partnership will be governed through an MoU between the coordinating organizations and the establishment of a Coordination Management Team .The oversight body will be the Board of Directors of both organizations
