The 14th Meeting of the United Nations Inter-Agency Committee on Bioethics (UNIACB) will be hosted by the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy, from 12 to 13 March 2015.

As customary, the meeting will be an occasion for inter-agency discussion on emerging ethical issues and new development in the field of bioethics.

Since 2003, the United Nations Inter-Agency Committee on Bioethics (UNIACB) has been serving as a key inter-agency mechanism for sharing information between and among intergovernmental organizations dealing with issues related to bioethics, thus fostering better cooperation and coordination.

UNESCO serves as the Permanent Secretariat of the UNIACB.
