Data for SDG 17: How to measure contributions towards Agneda 2030
Monday, 17 July 2017
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Baha'i International Community, 866 United Nations Plaza

Side Event

To achieve the ambitious 2030 Agenda, SDG 17 elaborates on the partnerships, financing arrangements and ‘enablers’ required to achieve all the other SDGs. Several proposals for new development finance measures have been suggested by the OECD and Northern think-tanks, but these discussions have not adequately included the perspectives and voices from the developing world, where such strengthening of statistical systems is most required. In order to provide a platform to unpack these challenges, the Network of Southern Think Tanks (NeST) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host a Davos-style debate on how to improve data for the measurement of traditional and emerging development partners’ contributions (public and private, concessional and non-concessional, financial and non-financial) towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Agenda. RSVP: Please register participation with Mr. Artemy Izmestiev artemy.izmestiev@undp.org by 13 July 2017.
