Monday, 10 July 2017
2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Baha'i International, 866 UN Plaza

Side Event

Synopsis: Caste and Discrimination based on Work and Descent (DWD) has been missing from the entire SDG and its inclusive and participatory debates in respective countries, thus raising concerns over the effective reach and impact of the global policies to the 260+ million populations worldwide affected by DWD. The round table aims to bring together communities and leaders around the world that faces DWD, caste or similarly discriminated groups; to discuss, share and plan towards engagement, solidarity and cooperation with each other and staging a platform towards working together for commonly addressing the issue.
