This luncheon event-- a brief panel followed by facilitated discussion-- will focus on how to ensure that women’s and girls’ needs are addressed in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal target on non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Speakers will include Dr. Bente Mikkelsen, Head of the Secretariat for the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on the Prevention and Control of NCDs; a high-level representative of UN Women; and high-level representatives of the Permanent Missions to the United Nations.
