Recognizing the fundamental role of sustainable energy in achieving almost all Sustainable Development Goals, from eradication of poverty through advancements in health, education, water supply and industrialization, to combating climate change, a global preparatory meeting in support of the global review of SDG7 at the 2018 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development will be held from 10-12 February 2018 in Hong Kong, China. In support of the above, a dedicated SDG 7 multi-stakeholder Partnership Exchange event will be held in parallel to the global preparatory meeting in Hong Kong, with the objective of discussion the role of partnerships in driving Goal 7, and reviewing new and existing partnerships aimed at driving the implementation of ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
