Indigenous Peoples Major Group and International Indian Treaty Council (IITC)

The Right Energy Partnership is an Indigenous-led multi-stakeholder alliance formed to highlight and inform best practices on rights-based approaches to energy development. This event will bring together representatives, key allies, and partners of successful renewable energy projects to share decision-making processes and protocols that constitute best standards to developing renewable energy projects that meet multiple SDG goals. Panelist will also include representatives of impacted Indigenous Peoples whose land, territory and resource rights are violated in the promotion of large-scale renewable energy projects as well as on-going fossil fuel extraction.
