Brooke (Organizer) and Mission of Senegal to the UN (Co-organizer)

The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed the importance of animal health systems along with their major weaknesses. Animal health is currently the weakest pillar of One Health. This event will profile the interdependence of animals and humans - the threat from zoonotic diseases and the benefits that animals have on human development. It will expose the neglect of and lack of investment in animal health while pointing to promising developments in One Health, and set out a Call for Action on Animal Health for SDGs.

Confirmed speakers: Representatives from the Government of Senegal, University of Glasgow and Brooke.
