Creative economy, as stated in the UNGA Resolution No. 74/198 “International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development 2021”, contributes to the three dimensions of sustainable development and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, including by fostering economic growth and innovation, eradicating poverty, creating full and productive employment and decent work for all, improving the quality of life and empowerment of women and young people and reducing inequality within and among countries. Align with the objective of HLPF 2021, particularly on SDGs 8 to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, Indonesia would like to propose side event on “Inclusive and Resilient Creative Economy for Sustainable Development”.
The objectives of the event are: 1. Enabling discussion and sharing best practices for a more inclusive and resilient creative economy that can contribute to the sustainable development; 2. Strengthening economic growth as well as expediting post-pandemic global recovery by promoting inclusive creative economy; 3. Increasing multi stakeholder’s active participation and synergy in observing International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development 2021
