To achieve the post-COVID-19 sustainable and resilient recovery, reactivate the economy, and continue advancing towards the consolidation of a sustainable development model, the commitment of different actors is needed both at the national and territorial levels. The beginning of the Decade of Action to Achieve the SDGs, becomes a breaking moment to generate multi-stakeholder alliances to promote different responses from different sectors and actors working together in an integrated manner by pooling financial resources, knowledge and expertise, while leaving no one behind. Building back better is an opportunity to rethink long-term growth goals and promote innovative, green and sustainable solutions. The crisis caused by the pandemic triggered adaptation processes that demonstrated it is possible to exchange knowledge and capabilities, through virtual connection platforms, obtaining the same or better results than activities carried out in person. The spirit of the 2030 Agenda is built on the fundamental principle to engage all sectors of society to achieve the ambitious goals and targets, and generating real territorial appropriation of the SDGs, using virtual tools to involve a greater number of actors and participants, is the key to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in this decade, reduce inequalities and shift the world onto a 1.5-degree Celsius trajectory.
