Tuesday, 13 July 2021
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Virtual (NY Time)

Side Event

United Nations Global Compact with Global Compact Local Network Spain, Global Compact Local Network Indonesia, Global Compact Local Network Mexico

Recognizing that the SDGs can only be realized through strong multi-stakeholder cooperation, the United Nations Global Compact — the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative — aims to be a valuable partner to Member States in their efforts to mobilize the private sector for the 2030 Agenda and the sustainable recovery from COVID-19.

The UNGC side event will showcase concrete examples and opportunities for collaboration between Global Compact Local Networks and Governments to engage the private sector and civil society in SDGs national processes, including the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs).

The Global Compact Local Networks Spain, Indonesia and Mexico will be joined by high-level Government officials from each country to share their experiences, lessons learned and best practices for multi-stakeholder engagement for the VNRs and SDGs.
