The science is clear: countries must take urgent action to transition to resilient, zero-carbon pathways to limit global temperature rise. The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), YOUNGO, March For Science, Island Resilience Partnership, EarthX, Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations, and Permanent Mission of Malta to the United Nations are uniting voices for a global virtual side-event - The SC1.5NCE NOT SILENCE Forum. The event responds to the scientific imperative unequivocally set forth in the IPCC 1.5°C Special Report (SR1.5). It will illustrate the ways that youth advocates and island leaders are spearheading the global movement for science-based climate action in the midst of a pandemic.
