Information on the purpose of your organization

Aims and Objectives
VISION: -

To build a network of Pakistanis Christians focused on a better quality of life, fellowship and religious freedom for Christians in Pakistan and the UK.

OUR OBJECTIVES ARE TO: -

? Campaign for equal citizenship for every citizen of Pakistan.
? Provide a social network for Pakistani Christians.
? Update Pakistani Christians on news of successes, tragedies, campaigns, events and other matters attributable or impacting on our community.
? Hold public events to promote and support fellowship, Christian learning, and raise better awareness of our community.
? Promote better integration between our community and wider Christian organisations.
? Raise funds to support outreach, capacity building and tragedy response programmes devised by our committee.
? Network with people of other faiths to promote community cohesion in a local capacity, whilst sharing positive community learning.
Information on your programmes and activities in areas relevant to the subject of the Summit and in which country or counties they are carried out.
We have installed several clean water pumps in rural villages of Pakistan
We have opened a free school for refugee and Asylum children in Thailand and hope to build a free school in Pakistan
We have challenged the existing Pakistani poverty of minorities and lack of educational opportunity in several publications.
We have bought safe houses for use to protect rape victims in Pakistan and have provided legal aid.
We are working on a project to introduce village savings and loans schemes and entrepreneurial training across Pakistan's rural communities.
We are hoping to initiate a project that will emancipate bonded labourers if funded by the UN. Currently we protect the children of Shama and Shahzad bonded labourers who were burnt alive in a brick kiln in November 2014.
Information on activities at the national or international levels
We held several special meetings with the Dutch Parliament who ratified High Risk status for Pakistani Christian asylum seekers as a consequence of our talks.
In 2013 we were approached by the Canadian Immigration and refugee board who were impressed with our submission to the UN Periodic Review of Pakistan. As a consequence they now use our responses as a reference point for Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers to Canad, resulting in special status.
