Global Agenda for Total Emacipation (GATE) is a not for profit, non governmental organization (NGO The Vision of GATE is : ...A world with sustainable development, social security and economic empowerment. While her Mission: ?To be at the vanguard of pioneering global agenda to fight poverty & disease and impact positively on women and youth.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The aims and objectives of the organization among other are;
 To create awareness, enable and empower the poor and marginalized people to benefit and participate in the education, economic, environmental and social activities as well as create resource centers to facilitate various provisions for self confidence, self reliance and community spirit.
 To design and implement programmes that will ensure gender equality, women empowerment and active participation of same in social and political development.
 To use education to fight poverty and diseases such as STIs, RH/HIV & AIDS, malaria, etc
 To organize and carry out intervention programmes, commissioned action/operations research on quality of life and other topical issues on Education, Health, Environment, Good governance, Gender, Poverty reduction, Equity and Social justice.

January, 2007 Gender Monitoring and Action Project for 2007 Elections and Beyond in 7 States (Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara) of North Geo-Political Zone of Nigeria implemented by GATE & CWSI (Center for Women Studies & Intervention, supported through Joint Donor Basket Fund: Financed by EU, CIDA, DFID & UNDP with UNIFEM & INEC as Implementing Partner).

April, 2007 - 2011 Comprehensive Integrated Approach to HIV/AIDS Prevention & Care (CIPHAC) in National Defense College Camp - Ushafa, Abuja. Funded by USAID, with support from SFH

August - Dec. 2009 Monitoring and Evaluation of MDGs Projects and Programmes Funded from the Paris Club Debt Relief Gains (DRG) by Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (OSSAP-MDGs) - June, 2011


May, 2010 - August 2011 Appointed as a CSO Partner in the Implementation of World Bank Supported ? Improving Civil Society Involvement in Economic Reform and Governance Project by Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Relations with Civil Society.

September, 2010 Engaged by Inter-Gender Development centre / SFH to Deliver Malaria Social Mobilisation Activities in 8 LGAs in Sokoto State

Dec., 2011 Trained and Engaged by SFH Abuja Field Office to Deliver Rapid Diagnostic Test in FCT, Abuja under GF Round 8 AMFm Malaria Project.

May, 2011 - 2014 Engaged as a partner by ENCAP to implement GATE initiated Scaling ? up HIV & AIDS Prevention for Empowerment (SHAPE) in 10 communities across 4 Area Councils of Kwali, Gwagwalada, Kuje & AMAC in FCT targeting OSY (Male & Female) and MARPS ( FSW, TWs, MSM & IDUs).


April, 2014 - to date Engaged by FACA as an Implementing CSO / Partner for the Implementation of GATE?s Scaling ? Up HIV/AIDS Prevention Intervention for Most at Risk Population (SHAPIM) in Bwari & Gwagwalada Area Councils of FCT


Information on activities at the national or international levels
The organisation have have had her staff represented in various international meetings and fora include UN Annual General meeting for 2011, IMF - World Bank Annual meeting between 2010 - 2012. And most recently participated in the West African Regional Conference for CSO on Financing for Development held in Abuja, FCT - Nigeria.

The National Programme Coordinator of GATE (Tim Aniebonam) have been supporting the National Consultant (Continental Research, Nigeria which was appointed by Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on MDG) for the Monitoring & Evaluation for the monitoring and evaluation of the debt relief gains Projects and Programmes since 2012 to date. As a matter of fact Tim lead the national Monitoring & Evaluation report writing for 2010 / 2011, 2012 and the ongoing 2013 version of the report.

Engaged as the Borno State Civil Society Organsation for the Monitoring and Evaluation of MDGs Projects and Programmes Funded from the Paris Club Debt Relief Gains (DRG) by Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (OSSAP-MDGs) August 2009 - June, 2011

In October 2010 GATE was engaged to conduct the Mid Term Evaluation (Operations Research) of Global Fund Round 5 Grant in 6 States and FCT, Nigeria as Implemented by the Principal Recipient Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH).

In February, 2008 - February 2009 initiated and funded the first ever Civil Society Organisastion independent Gender Impact Assessment of World Bank assisted Local Economic and Environmental Management Project (LEEMP) in Enugu and Bauchi States.


From September - December, 2003 GATE implemented the Baseline/Formative Research on Youths/Women RH Status/Needs and Facilities in Public, Private and NGO facilities & Situation Analysis of Project area in 10 Northern States (Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau) for PPFA-1(Planned Parenthood Federation of America Int'l), Africa Regional Office, Nairobi ? Kenya.
