Stichting Soham Baba Mission
Information on the purpose of your organization

The objective of the Soham Baba Mission is closely associated with the Millennium Goals of the United Nations.
The Organization is an International Work Community dedicated to spread Peace on the planet. The worldwide organization is formed by the ?Youthful people? of all nations to work together with a positive mentality, cooperating with other good willing people and organizations with similar intentions and same goals.

The youthful members of the SOHAM BABA MISSION believe that:
-- every living creature on Mother Earth is a member of a single planetary community, born with an equal right to live on that planet;
-- every living creature is born with an equal right to share the Land, the Water, the Air and all precious naturally occurring phenomena on this planet.
-- every living creature has the right to have and to share a positive dream about their future
-- through the increase of our wisdom and understanding, every living creature is fully accepted as it is and dreams to be; and that such a ¿better understanding¿ a harbor is in the storms of life, but living without this ¿better understanding¿ is a storm in the harbor.

The Mission hopes to achieve the development of these expectations for the world individually as well as collectively and to be capable to come to a better change through the Inner Being of the youthful people through encouragement and education.
In the development of achieving the goals of the Mission, it is the intention of the Youthful members of the organization to create an atmosphere of good taste and sensitivity in daily life, and subsequently to acquire a humane state of mind of genuine responsibility towards all life, further to keep in mind constantly that we human beings are entitled to use this world together with and for all living creatures on this planet.
The organization attempts to realize her goal by Pioneering activities. The Mission promotes peace on the planet. The ideal of promoting peace is enhanced by the installation of a youth peace council and an adult peace council. Moreover the Mission focuses on: street children all over the world; anti-hunger projects; help-activities to fight against the consequences of natural disasters. The relief of human suffering due to floods, cyclones, earthquakes, droughts and to help in making arrangements which can prevent or relief the causes of such disasters, specifically (but not limited to) with regard to the protection of land and agriculture. To realize these help-activities the Mission formed a special division called RESCUE OO6.
The Organization attempts to realize her goals also by Supporting activities. These are:
Environmental and ecological activities like Planting trees, Cultural activities, the creative development of the spirit and soul by different cultural programs (such as music, dance, drama, folk-songs) from other cultures, cultural exchange, educational journeys to different countries, healing activities, research on different healing methods (based upon Eastern philosophy and ancient wisdom of healing), spiritual activities, courses, workshops and seminars about mythological and theosophical studies, meditations, regular prayer and yoga meetings.
