Information on the purpose of your organization

CNCD-11.11.11 is the umbrella organization of 85 developments NGOs in French-speaking Belgium. It is i.a. specalized in development cooperation, financing for development and sustainable development . It is a full member of the Federal Council on Sustainable Develompent. It has three major purposes: project financinf, advocacy and sensitization.

CNCD-11.11.11 and its Flemish counterpart are the major interlocutors of the Belgian Government, especially the Minister of Development Cooperation, for all issues linked to the development agenda, in particular the post-2015 agenda. It has been advocating on the Millenium agenda since it was launched in 2000 and has followed the post-2015 process directly and throgh the Beyond 2015 network since its very beginning.
Information on activities at the national or international levels
Main activities include: coordination of national CSO platforms (including the BE.yond 2015 platform, accompanying the post-2015 agenda), organization of seminars and study days for CSOs, publishing of documents (>40/year) on a broad range of issues, media-work (>450 appearances/year), advocacy to the Belgian decision makers, participation to EU and international networks, work with local volunteers, information to the Belgian public opinion...
