Information on the purpose of your organization

Basically, RADP is developmental organization of rural area of the country and working to up lift the living standard of rural pupil by cooperation National/International donor agencies, Organization and local people?s contribution, due to being done various social activities. This organization is constantly performing the service since its beginning, attempted identifying the needs of the peoples who are underlined as poor and assisted a lot of programs concerning to them, due this reason, we are going Poverty reduction of our people by moving the alternative income generating program, capacity building programme, training and accountability through good governance programmeto the backwards people who lived in the remote and rural side of the Country.

Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP):
RADP has been launching the LGCDP as a Local Service Provider (LSP) along with of Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), District Development Committee (DDC), Tanahun; government of Nepal in 10 Village Development Committees (VDCs) and One Municipality in Tanahun, Nepal, to empower and uplift the deprived and disadvantaged rural communities to mainstream their local development activities. RADP always playing the active role and make the effort to aware the rural people?s their work, duty, responsibility and fundamental rights, to develop the socio-economic and basic infrastructure, to address their voices, social inclusion and accountability, for sustainable development and citizen empowerment through decentralization process; especially women and disadvantaged groups. This programme is coordinate by MoFALD with the funding support by Multilateral Development Agencies: ADB, World Bank, European Union as well as Bilateral Development Agencies: DfID, Government of Denmark, GIZ, JICA, Government of Norway, SDC, USAID UN Agencies: UNCDF, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women, UNV.
ii. WASH
About 12+7 Water & Sanitation Projects have been completed in various VDCs in Tanahun and 4 in on process in various VDCs in Nawalparasi district Nepal, by the financial assistance of Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Fund Development Board/ the World Bank /IDEA and Water, Sanitation &Hygiene (WASH) programme with the objectives of Total Behavior Change (TBC) in hole Bhirkot Village Development Committee (VDC) in Tanahun funded by Government of Nepal and government of Finland.
RADP have been completed the project entitle of ?Total Behavior Change(TBC)? with announced Open Defecation Free (ODF) of Bhirkot Village Development Committee dated on June 2012 providing the basic WASH Project in whole Bhirkot VDC, Tanahun about 1195 entire households supported by government of Nepal and Finland through Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Project, RWSSP-WN.
iv) Environment conservation Program in Tanahun supported by Ministry of Environment, Sscience and Technology (MOEST).
Vi) Project on impact of climate change in the Marshyangdi Catchment of Nepal supported by the University of Wisconsin/USA and Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC) Thailand.
Information on activities at the national or international levels
RADP is national level organization (NGO) and working for national level in various districts (there are 75 districts in Nepal) rural village in Nepal. We are working in varying sector especially in water sanitation & hygiene (WASH), Local governance, environment sector, as well as we are working in alternative energy and poverty alleviation for the sustainable development at the grassroots level in its area of operation to uplift our rural people?s living standard that is underlining the poverty and to fight their basic needs since over the decade.
