Global Financial Integrity is the global leader on research and advocacy related to illicit financial flows (IFFs). Our groundbreaking economic studies have set the standard for estimating the volume of IFFs at the country as well as the global level. We have published a global IFF study each year since 2008 and we have issued country-specific reports on India, Mexico, Russia, the Philippines and Brazil. Additional work includes a study on illicit flows out of Africa which was done in partnership with the African Development Bank and led to the UNECA?s High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows chaired by Thabo Mbeki. Further, our global advocacy, including efforts at the UN, OECD, World Bank, and IMF have led to illicit flows being included in the Financing for Development Outcome Document as well as included in SDG target 16.4. Through our work curtailing illicit flows has become development orthodoxy.
