Inputs from Singapore on the Questionnaire related to the
    development of Sustainable Development Goals

In response to the questionnaire related to the development of
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the preliminary consultation
with countries on SDGs, Singapore’s inputs are as follow:

    1. The international process to arriving at SDGs is still in its early
stages. Nonetheless, it would be useful to reiterate that the
SDGs should be global in nature, aspirational and fully respect
all the Rio Principles as well as the Rio+20 outcomes. They
should respect the different national realities and circumstances
of countries as well as respect national policies and priorities.
As such, the SDGs should not be prescriptive in nature.
Possible priority areas to consider, while not exhaustive, could
    include water and cities.

    2. In terms of process, the development of the SDGs should
remain an open-ended process to allow the broadest
participation by countries. The Working Group on SDGs should
take into account the review of the MDGs and be carried out in
    an effective and efficient manner.
