Description/achievement of initiative

Austria and Sustainable Energy for All have been strongly linked since its early beginnings.
During the Second Vienna Energy Forum, held in June 2011, a platform to raise global awareness for energy issues, Kandeh Yumkella, formulated the three objectives which later became the goals of Secretary General Ban Ki Moon’s initiative.

Implementation methodologies

The 4th Vienna Energy Forum took place from 18 to 20 June 2015 and focused on “Sustainable Energy for Inclusive Development” to further promote the activities of the SE4ALL initiative.
The Austrian Government has expressed its appreciation to the important work of SE4All. The Goverment of Austria has provided substantial assistance to the initiative since its establishment and has ensured its continous support.
