Description/achievement of initiative

Let There Be Light International (LTBLI) distributes low-cost/high-impact solar lights in Sub-Saharan Africa. LTBLI targets off-grid individuals and families who meet one or more of the following criteria: AIDS widows, AIDS orphans, the homebound elderly, disabled individuals, and school children.


Implementation methodologies

Let There Be Light International (LTBLI) is committed to impacting 6,000 individuals with sustainable energy services through the distribution of pico lighting products by the end of December 2015, and 15,000 individuals by the end of 2017. By 2018, Let There Be Light International will solar electrify at least 8 rural health centers in the Gomba and Wakiso Districts of Uganda, serving nearly 75,000 people.
