Brain Builders International
Description/achievement of initiative

Brain Builders International (BBI), is a youth based non-profit making and non-governmental organization that promotes civic engagement and peaceful political participation, youth entrepreneurship and empowerment project, youth participation in community development, education development programme, human rights and good governance. BBI has since its establishment been promoting youth activities which range from leadership, entrepreneurship, empowerment and charity donations amidst other lofty programmes.

Implementation methodologies

1. We have started by holding a round table discussion this year with youth and Stakeholders.2. We did a Press Conference tagged #100DaysofSDGs where we reminded the government about the New York agreement and the need to stand by their words.3. We are planning #iEndorseTheSDGs campaign to all relevant stakeholders in Nigeria through physical and online endorsements.4. We are planning SDG map maker to track the implementation of the Goals5. We are working with the National Bureau of Statistics and the Media to get an accurate figures of some Project.6. We will continue to engage Government at all levels on the need to domesticate the SDGs7. Quarterly Youth Conference to reawaken the consciousness of the Youth for the Monitoring and evaluation of the Goals is also one of our methodologies8. Working with Rural communities to get the attention of the Government to address their plights9. Using all social network platform for the advocacy and implementation of the Goals

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

We have done our First Capacity Building transfer for all our 36 Ambassadors in all States of the Federation. We have also released our call for application which would centre training Youths online for seven Days on how they can support the Global Goals by giving them some tools and resources. We have been using the social media to propagate and make SDGs go vial and we are poised to doing more.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

We have appointed SDGsAmbassadors in all the 36 States in Nigeria. They have undergone the Train-The-Trainers workshop and they are to provide us the list of other volunteers across all Local Government in Nigeria. We have also started our Campus by Campus tour to get students union leaders aware of the Goal and the need to advocate for the implementation. We do meet with all our Voluntters(online and offline) every month to track and monitor our action plan.
