Description/achievement of initiative
REMAKE.SP is a project created in partnership by Campus Brasil, an international education facilitator, Co-Viva, an innovation consultancy and Multidão, a collaborative network. The project aims to invite a group of professionals to work on 3 of the SDGs in the city of São Paulo. The group will be composed by international professionals and Brazilians who are expected to work alongside NGOs, Institutes, universities and city hall to develop an action plan that can help build a more sustainable and equitable city. The main targets are: Sustainable cities, Equitable access to Education and Sustainable Consumption.
Implementation methodologies
Professionals are expected to register at the project website and will be selected by representatives from Campus Brasil, Co-Viva and Multidão. Once selected, each participant will receive information about the designed project - Education, Sustainbility or Sustainable Comsumption - and how to start working and researching on each topic. Participants will them meet and stay 30 days at Campus Brasil Learning Hub in São Paulo, Brazil- during those days they will receive mentoring from Co-Viva, the innovation consultancy, and meet and work with several organizations already involved in each topic.
Each group will have to come up with a project to improve and help the work of each local organization to reach the 3 SDGs that the Remake.SP focus on.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
After working and meeting with several organizations focused on the project topic, each group will have to design an action plan and work alongside with organization and key leaders to implement and adapt the action plan.
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
The initiative was organized in partnership by Campus Brasil,Co-Viva and Multidão. It will involve contact with several NGOs, Universities, São Paulo City Hall, and Institutes.
Campus Brasil is responsible for the contact with young international and national professionals and universities. It will be in charge of promoting the project abroad and also to congregate governmental organizations and well as educational and national/ international professionals.
Co-Viva will provide methodologies and mentoring training for participants to help build innovative solutions and will also be responsible for engaging NGO and collaborative networks to participate in the project.
Multidão as a collaborative network will act in promoting the initiative as well as Relationship with institutions, visits and building methodologies to share the initiative and promote the SDGs among the local population.
