SDG - Cultural Diplomacy
Description/achievement of initiative

The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy will integrate the module in Sustainable Development in the graduate education, ACD- Agency for Cultural Diplomacy will provide workshops and seminars for teachers starting from elementary level, to provide them with informations about SDG´s, support development of essential competencies especially through art projects, workshops and conferences. The program will officially start in Fall 2017, and will be announced as part of the event of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy Berlin "The Artistic Cultural Diplomacy Forum" that will be held on February 16th-18th 2017 in Berlin, Germany.

Implementation methodologies

The methods employed in this initiative are centered in intercultural experiential learning, cross-sector (social sector and impact sector) and global-local linking the governments, trade companies, diplomacy, schools, universities, art communities and various institutions and NGOs with academic base networks for the promotion and measurement of social impact (sustainable impact).

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Through other developing partnerships with IAAI GloCha (NGO located in Klagenfurt, Austria), and KulturKontakt Vienna, etc. we aim to provide capacity development that is technically knowledgeable and innovative for international projects and needs like those manifested by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy Berlin.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

The initiative is governed by Dr. Mark C. Donfried, founder and director of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy Berlin (NGO), by Tatjana Sehic, founder and director of the ACD- Agency for Cultural Diplomacy Vienna (International non-profit association), and the initiative also values on an international Advisory Board.
