Dissertations for Good
Description/achievement of initiative

This website partners university students completing dissertations or research projects as a part of their degree course with organisations who need research to be done but lack the capacity, resources or expertise. It gives organisations the opportunity to complete important work in environmental, economic or social sustainability while offering students fantastic experience and development. We are helping to make education a force for social good.

Implementation methodologies

NUS facilitates the process of setting up a partnership by providing guidance and template resources. The actual completion of the project is up to the student and their academic supervisor. It is up to the organisation's representative to keep track of what is happening through regular updates from the student.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

NUS manages the website. Students and organisations can register and create profiles detailing their projects or areas of interest. They can request to partner with each other, or NUS suggests suitable partnerships.
