Energy conservation and energy efficiency is seen as a major source of further national economic growth. State Energy conservation Program, adopted in 2010 aims to:
Decrease energy intensity of GDP of the Russian Federation by 13.5 percent, which together with other factors, will provide the solution to reduce energy intensity of GDP of by 40 percent in 2007 - 2020;
Development of energy-efficient society in Russia
