Mainstreaming Education for Sustainable development
Description/achievement of initiative

The objective is to create learning opportunities for students, decision makers and practitioners in the field of sustainability. Additional efforts are made to bring together researchers and practitioners through workshops and conferences to support SDG goals 3 and 4 in their implementation. Through Summits and publications we monitor and evaluate the efforts of our partner institutions, governments, and businesses in their achievements of sustainability targets outlined under SDG3 and SDG4.

Implementation methodologies

Implementation is by participating Universities, businesses and government agencies on a voluntary basis.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

We plan to nominate graduate school researchers at the Masters degree level to Universities in Europe and North America who we identify through Forums such as HESI can provide resources for capacity building. We also encourage researchers to search for funding opportunities for their research goals fulfillment.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

A Board of Trustees approves our annual work plans which are subsequently adopted in an annual conference. Then Work groups are organised around themes for programme execution. Through Summits and Workshops, the work groups present their results for evaluation and monitoring.
