AD CARE 4.0 (2018-2020)
Description/achievement of initiative

The Faculty of Art & Design, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia is committed to realign and uphold the spirit of Sustainable Development Goal into its management of the Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Research and Innovation as well as Industry, Community, Alumni and Entrepreneurship. This new alignment is in line with the university and national agenda to produce future leaders of Art and Design practitioners who are holistic in an academic sense as well as social and religious values.

Implementation methodologies

The Faculty of Art and Design, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, as the pioneering institute of the field in the nation since more than 50 years ago, has long proven its ability to balance culture and tradition with modern and future needs. With this platform, the implementation of the initiatives (which have and will be updated) under the registered commitment can be rolled out throughout the year, whilst planning is done at a top management-level twice a year for strategic alignment.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

The capacity-building and technology transfer arrangement for all the initiatives to be updated under this commitment will be incorporated into the day-to-day running of the Faculty and all the academic programmes currently being offered. Current and future partners will be aligned into the 17 SDG components.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

This initiative is strategically planned and reported as a faculty-wide agenda. Thereby, the commitment of time, technical and human resources, as well as the Art and Design deliverables, will be better monitored for its continuous success towards 2030.
