Description/achievement of initiative
Inexure is a project management consultancy and law firm based in Australia. As an avid supporter of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Inexure intends to enlist the broader Australian business community to get behind the SDGs. Many companies in Australia and the people who work for them would like to do more to bring about an equitable and sustainable world, but they simply do not know where to start. Sustainability Projects Australia will provide an avenue for companies to get involved by contributing both in cash and in kind to all 17 SDGs.
Implementation methodologies
Inexure utilises globally accepted methodologies for project delivery including the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the Projects in Controlled Environments method (PRINCE2). In addition to these project methodologies for the successful delivery of projects, Inexure makes use of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) for eliciting requirements from stakeholders and communicating these requirements to project teams; the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) for managing change; and the Management of Value (MoV) method to optimise the benefits obtained on resources used.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
All projects will factor a capacity building and technology transfer component that will enable the communities to whom benefits are being delivered to self-sustain these benefits upon project completion. Inexure is also invested in blockchain technology for enabling smart contracts that can empower people to participate in trade, enable fairer elections, and ensure prompt payment for the goods and services they contribute to both local and global economies.
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
Inexure Pty Ltd, an Australian registered company, will govern all the projects run by Sustainability Projects Australia. Inexure will help to form syndicated projects, draft the requisite contracts, hire project managers and other resources, and deliver the projects on behalf of the syndicates. There is no limit imposed on the number of syndicates to be formed, and no limit placed on the goals and corresponding targets the syndicated projects will aim to deliver on. All syndicate members will be provided with annual reports, detailing how their contributions were utilised. Information from these reports will be provided to the UN as updates on this SDG initiative.
