Description/achievement of initiative
We created the Zero Landfill concept that refers to projects that integrate the application of innovative equipment and the management of processes, through ethical, economic, sustainable and visionary goals, aiming at total reuse of waste, that is, no grass of waste sent to landfills.
Implementation methodologies
Definitive disposal: environmentally safe technique of total waste disposal;
Reduction of atmospheric emissions;
Sustainable tool for waste management;
Replacement of non-renewable energy resources;
Reduction of extractive activities and their negative impacts;
Provides Circular Economy.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
The management process to achieve the goals of Zero Landfill has the following steps:
Mapping of waste generation
Assessment of possibilities for prevention and / or reduction of waste generation
Study of the possibility of reuse of the waste generated
Classification, codification and registration of waste
Identification, sorting, storage of residue
Evaluation of environmental partners and recycling companies
Final provision
Monthly waste management report
With this concept, we contribute to the concept of circular economy, reducing the impact of waste on the environment, which, in addition to not being landfill or irregularly disposed, becomes renewable fuel.
