PIN2AID is a website that contains information about Non-governmental organizations around the world. PIN2AID was developed to promote unknown NGOs that work for areas in need of global relief and assistance. We found this website especially needed because of the relatively small exchange of aid in organizations that lack PR, which haled to excessive aid or alienation of aid to specific organizations. Support is concentrated in large-scale sponsoring organizations, and the funding channels and budget use is unclear. We feel that a voluntary route is necessary for the sponsors themselves.
Based on Google Maps, it enables intuitive access with the map and a search window. Markers(or pins) are placed on the map for every NGO. The map can be zoomed in or out to give you a quick, at-a-glance view of all information. The search window provides optimal information when entering the country, region, address, or sponsorship fields(poverty and economy). When clicking the pin, the website provides information, location, and contacts about the organization. The menu consists of regional information, stories requiring assistance, and contact information for the responsible agencies. You can contact the responsible organization directly for support and cooperation inquiries. This contributes to the UN SDGs because NGOs in various fields are condensed into a single website so that citizens can voluntarily sponsor organizations that work for the UN's sustainable development goals. Also, balanced support can be achieved through global aid information to curb the tendency of concentration on well-known relief organizations. This allows ordinary citizens to search for information in areas, countries, and villages that they would like to give support to. This also gives opportunities for small organizations to publicize their phases. We can collaborate on sharing information through partner foundation agreements with individual activists and beneficiaries, community public institutions and religious organizations by opening partnership accounts on the website. There has been several collaborations with organizations, but before the website was known to the public, hundreds of data had to be input manually by our members that work for this project.
The South Korean UN POG has collaborated with us to promote this project in youth club fairs held by the Incheon Global Campus in South Korea. Also, the Korean Economic Development Cooperative Organization(KEDCO) has gave scholarships to help us develop the organization.
By putting Pin2Aid into practice, first, people can get a full view of the country and village information supported by aid organizations around the world and choose the areas they want to sponsor. Second, the NGOs information in various fields can be condensed into a single site so that citizens can realize the goals of the UN's sustainable development more efficiently by voluntarily sponsoring it in many ways. Third, balanced support can be achieved through global aid and its information to curb the tendency of concentration on well-known relief organizations. Fourth, Pin2Aid allows ordinary citizens to search for NGO information, who did not know how to sponsor or where to sponsor. Furthermore, we lead the information in areas, countries, and villages that the people would like to support themselves rather than participate within limited information.
This website can be accessed globally, and there are no factors that can keep people from accessing it. A website-based platform makes it easier for more people to access and voluntarily participate in the project. It's also a sustainable way that does not require physical resources and human labor.
