Sheerwood School SDG CHANGEMAKERS CLUB
Description/achievement of initiative

This SDG Club initiative is to create awareness of these goals and create campaigns and events to promote them in our environment. A lot of people around us are not aware of these goals and are therefore not taking any action towards achieving them. Our club will comprise of children 8-10years who will join teachers and staff to create this awareness, first among other children and then the larger society.

Implementation methodologies

The Club meets once every week at the club room. Different initiatives are discussed, specific goal for the month is discussed debated and the campaign is planned for the last week of the month. Companies will be visited to create awareness, other schools will be visited to help set up their own SDG Clubs. The Annual oh Green Event, which creates awareness about clean water and sanitation will hold every year along with other major initiatives

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

The school already have the technological requirements to keep the club up to date with goings on. We intend to train other teachers and staff of other schools to replicate the knowledge sharing and awareness of these goals and their significance.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

This initiative is governed by the school’s management and governing council. Every campaign will be planned by the club committee which will comprise of academic and no -academic staff. If funding is required, a project treasurer will be appointed. A report will be submitted to the governing council at the end of the event.
