Restituting social, economic and Democratic Social cohesion for sustainable Development
Description/achievement of initiative

The overall goal of the initiative is to turn the trend of community volunteer spirit for inclusive participation and contribution to sustainable development of our communities free from violence where youth are rather than empowered to promote peace, Democratic social cohesion and non-violence, support successful, and or be part of transparent and credible leadership formation, are hired and armed to commit crimes and violent conflicts through peace education and intensive leadership and social cohesion training interventions.

Implementation methodologies

Methodology 1. Through call for participant form and working with other existing youth groups, Network in the North West Region, African Justice4Peace Academy will invite and train 30 for 6 days, SDG Kupshi youth leaders on Sustainable Development goals, their contributions and active participation through vigorous modules that transform and keep the youth engaging with passion and emotions. 2. We will also invite 20 Community radio station Managers, two from each Division for a three days training Jon Sustainable Development goals, their contributions and active participation Sustainable Development reporting. 3. At the end we will adopt a SDG Kupshi Sign and rituals (Mode of Greetings) system 4. Set up a network of SDG Kupshi Ambassadors with at least 50.000 leaders known as Kupshi Ambassadors KAM 5. For effective dissemination of Kupshi project, we will organize SDG Kupshi ambassadors restituting championship Award for best practices Kupshi Leaders. 6. Create short messages and translate them in to our various indigenous languages (languages influences culture and perception) on the important of on Sustainable Development goals, their contributions and active participation, billboards and share amongst friends and peer groups, Religious leaders and local rulers right back in our local communities. 7. Transform Youth in to SDG Kupshi Ambassadors by getting in touch with them, get know their various reasons for engaging in to sustainable Development activities, create a platform where they too can raise their voices and give positive suggestions towards on Sustainable Development goals, their contributions and active participation (participatory approach) for everybody voice counts. 8. Nominate some Sustainable Development goals actors with inspire contributions and active participation who are willing to accept and move with change as SDG Kupshi ambassadors of and give them incentives. 9. Create empowerment centers (skill acquisition) centers in some areas to get idle youths or unemployed youths to be proactive and occupy while generating income so they won’t results to violence action.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

Under the African Justice4Peace Association Board of Directors: 1. Marcel ABANDA, Project manager: With 18 years of experience in community development, management of NGO projects and programmes; has considerable knowledge and experience in, Literacy, education, gender, poverty reduction and environmental issues. 2. Pastor Othniel Buulangotomo: Project Accountant: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, accounting and building construction teacher. 3. Tanyu Jaja Genevieve: In charge of Logistics and administration: Degree in curriculum studies and Teaching Economics and Masters educational administration. 4. Ngoran Christabelle: PLEC and Bachelor’s Degree in Geography: Project Reporter – Secretary 5. Ndi Eugene Ndi: Degree in Mass Communication is in charge of Media, Public Relations and Advocacy Officer 5. Njang Albert: Advance Level – Videographer and audiovisual Manager 7. Ethel Kwembo Grace: Degree in management science and computerized accounting, Volunteer 8. Nganji Quinita Eyisa: Degree in Guidance and counselling (Philosophy), Volunteer, Assistant Secretary 9. And other 6 Volunteers. General Roles: Facilitates project implementation; in charge of spending, recording and reporting progress and constraints in the field; providing follow-up support and supervision to beneficiaries; and reports to Project Manager.
