Since 2008, the University of Nantes has been implicated in sustainable development because it is clear for actors of the University that higher education has a crucial role to play in the evolution of the society. In 2009, the Agenda 21 of the University of Nantes has been built. It is an ambitious program in which each member of the community ? students and staff ? is involved.
This program is divided into five items:
- Environmental management
- Transports and soft mobility
- Social policy
- Awareness, Teaching and Research
- Strategy and governance
More details are available on the website of the university (www.univ-nantes.fr/universite21).
