EKO WORKSHOP AND TALKS: THE POWER OF CHANGE THROUGH THE SDG’s
Description/achievement of initiative

EKOLUV is committed to utilising our global brand and platform for workshops and panel discussions/talks to spread awareness and integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into our community through our brand and content, specifically through the lens of empowering women change makers within sustainable fashion.

Implementation methodologies

In person and live streamed workshops and panel discussions/talks that anyone can access globally. Invite key change makers to be part of the workshop and also guest speakers within sustainable fashion and lifestyle. 1 x workshop and talk giving attendees the skills and tools they can use to help them implement the SDG’s into their daily lives by educating/teaching about how to take action on climate change, reduce their waste by giving them skills on upcycling, recycling and lower their own consumer and environmental footprint by lowering carbon emissions by daily actions they can take.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Our team and partners will use their skills & knowledge within sustainable fashion, our company will use it’s current infrastructure & equipment, our CEO will manage the partnership & we will use our financial capacity to carry out the work of the partnership and promote the SDG’s.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nThe partnership will facilitate capacity exchange – between partners – of skills, knowledge and experience through the resources, tools and material we will provide during the event and as take home packs for our community to use within their daily lives which will give them information about the SDG’s and how to work towards them. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nOur company and our Opportunity Australia partner make an explicit commitment to strengthen capacity of this partnership and promote the SDG’s further.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nTechnology transfer will be informal in exchange of technical know-how, skills and experience.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

Curate conversations, amplify Sustainable Development Goal messaging, and co-create opportunities to highlight and engage United Nations agencies, advocates, and initiatives. An event that is a workshop, hosted by EKOLUV founder Emily Kate Symes and talks featuring guest speakers in our Paddington boutique. The EKOLUV CEO and staff will be governing this initiative by monitoring the event and ensuring that our brand and the message carried through represent the SDG’s and also enable our community to engage and understand what the SDG’s are by providing the tools, education and knowledge and awareness via the event and take home pack with all the information they can use to empower themselves and create positive change in their lives and in the world through sustainable fashion. We will also ensure we collect data and have the necessary resources to facilitate the event and to give our community attending.
