Description/achievement of initiative
This partnership realised the conduct of regional economic and social assessments of the impacts of climate change in the agriculture, coastal and marine, energy, health, tourism and water sectors. The estimated projections of the economic and social costs of climate change to the Caribbean subregion were calculated until 2030. The partnership also facilitated the development of an Caribbean-specific econometric model that could be utilised by countries and regional and national organisations in projecting the economic and social costs of climate change.
