A Voice for Sustainable Development in Tanzania
Description/achievement of initiative

Uvinza FM Community Radio is committed to all the sustainable development goals (SDGs) but most especially to SDG1 –end poverty in all its forms, everywhere– as we believe for a developing country like ours, poverty in all its forms is the source of poor education, poor health, inequality and environmental degradation.

Implementation methodologies

We have so far created a Facebook page and are in process of developing radio programs all in Kiswahili language so as to create awareness and involve people, especially in rural areas, in the implementation and achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

This initiative will be governed by the management of UFM Radio, whose board will coordinate the efforts to implement SDG1 in coordination with the national government and international organizations working in our country.
