Achievement at a glance
ASviS is present in the EU Transparency Register, which will allow the Alliance to contribute to the public consultations launched by the European Commission. The Alliance has been recognized as a key partner from the Italian Government in the preparation of the \\\"Italian Strategy for Sustainable Development\\\". During a meeting that took place on March 31, the Alliance exposed seven concrete proposals to the Italian Government, in order to make sure that the Strategy is fully responsive to the commitments made at the UN and to the expectations of the Italian civil society. The Minister of Environment is committed to continue the dialogue with the Alliance through targeted meetings and has announced plans to involve other relevant Ministries in order to prepare a strategy covering all of the different aspects when it comes to Agenda 2030.
Challenges faced in implementation
The Alliance has officially asked to the Italian Statistical Institute (ISTAT) to make available as soon as possible the existing statistical indicators among those agreed by the UN for monitoring of Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring the appropriate breakdown in terms of territory, gender and different socio-economic groups. In the coming weeks we will be arranging some public initiatives currently under preparation. They will be an additional opportunity to draw the attention of the Italian society, especially opinion leaders, on the theme of sustainable development and SDGs, a fundamental issue for the present and the future of our Country.

The Alliance has born just a few months ago, but the benefits are already visible.
